So, how did Neosho Valley Wildlife Control come to be? By combining my passion for the outdoors with my desire to help people, I saw an opportunity to provide a service that resolves wildlife conflicts in a humane, safe, and ethical manner. My goal was not only to serve others but also to create something that would allow me to spend more quality time with my family.
While I love my career as a paramedic, the demanding schedule—48-hour shifts and additional 24-hour shifts—can make family time difficult. Neosho Valley Wildlife Control was born to offer a much-needed service to Southeast Kansas while also supporting my family.
This business fills an important gap in our area by focusing specifically on wildlife control rather than pest control. Wildlife management is our primary focus, and I recognized the need for a complete solution that includes prevention, habitat modification, and not just removal.
Neosho Valley Wildlife Control is more than just a business to me. It is something I can grow while passing down the same values and lessons my parents taught me to my children. I am committed to providing high-quality services, reliable products, and a level of professionalism that can be difficult to find in today’s trades.

My name is Jordan Thurman, and I am the owner and operator of Neosho Valley Wildlife Control. I want to take a moment to introduce myself and share the story behind how Neosho Valley Wildlife Control was founded.
I am a full-time paramedic with our local service and have worked in emergency medical services for nearly 20 years. Helping others has always been at the core of who I am, and my career has allowed me to care for people during their most critical moments.
Growing up in rural Southeast Kansas allowed me to spend much of my life outdoors, developing a deep appreciation for wildlife and nature. Those experiences taught me patience, respect, and gratitude for what the Lord has provided. From an early age, my father instilled in my siblings and me the importance of being ethical, appreciative of the opportunity to enjoy nature, and valuing all forms of life.
When we weren’t outdoors, we worked alongside our parents in the family's underground construction business. That experience shaped my work ethic and attention to quality. Doing the job right was always expected, and if it wasn’t done correctly, you were given the chance to learn and try again. As a child, I didn’t fully realize how valuable those lessons would become. Still, today I am incredibly grateful for the professionalism, accountability, and strong work ethic my parents taught me.
